Susan Rossi is a mission-driven sport and rehabilitation professional with 22 years of knowledge/education, experience and established relationships in the Paralympic and adaptive sports industry. Her professional background includes leading Adaptive Sports USA as the executive director, work at United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee as the Paralympic Sport Outreach and Development Manager, the city of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities in collaboration with Arizona Disabled Sports, the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and various other well-rooted adaptive sports programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in exercise and sport science and a master’s in nonprofit leadership management from Arizona State University. In addition, Susan is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Rossi has been with Move United since 2020 as a result of the merger between Adaptive Sports USA and Disabled Sports USA. In her current role as director of competition, she develops the Move United Competition Series with over 25 multi-sport events in 19 markets across the country, leads the Move United Junior Nationals, the oldest and largest continuously held national championship for youth with a disability, and manages the organization’s international presence with the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation.
