Nick Baumgartner
Nick Baumgartner, a 5-time U.S. Olympic snowboard cross (SBX) athlete, quickly became a social media darling during the 2026 Olympic Winter Games with his comedic Instagram and TikTok posts and his “bromance” with Snoop Dogg. The 44-year-old became the oldest Olympic snowboarder at the Games, finishing seventh. Four years earlier, in Beijing, he won gold in the SBX mixed team event alongside teammate Lindsey Jacobellis.
The pride of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Baumgartner's athletic career goes far beyond his Olympic appearances in (2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2026. He is also an X-Games gold and silver medalist, and a former All-America high school wrestler and college football linebacker at Northern Michigan University, and a racecar driver in the TRAXXAS Torc Series, where he won winning 2011 Rookie of the Year honors.
In the offseason, Baumgartner works in construction and has been a concrete laborer to support the athletic dreams of his son, Landon, a student at Michigan State University.
