Michelle Steinfeld is USA Swimming's secretary and general counsel.  She leads the Business Affairs Department at USA Swimming, which includes Legal, Corporate Governance, Government Relations and Human Resources. Steinfled brings a strong legal background across both corporate and law firm environments. Most recently, she managed the litigation portfolio for public oil and gas company Ovintiv, following time at law firms Davis Graham & Stubbs and Covington & Burling LLP.  She received her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Georgetown University Law Center and an undergraduate degree, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Vanderbilt University.
