2023 Presenters

Michelle Kimpel is director of sports and recreation for Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In that role, she provides supervision, direction and encouragement to the sports and recreation staff and interns, strategically offers programs to help clients meet their goals and experience competitive and recreational activities, creates and executes plans to recruit and retain clients, and assists with outreach and building relationships within the community.  She has worked at Turnstone since 1999 in a variety of roles, previously serving as director of therapy, fitness and sports, director of wellness and adaptive sports, manager of health and wellness/program evaluation and process improvement, pool manager and pediatric therapy aide. She holds a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in human biology from the University of Indianapolis.
