Michael King was appointed CEO of USA Team Handball in September 2024. A former U.S. Men’s National Team athlete and the inaugural chair of USATH’s Athletes’ Advisory Council, he previously served in nonprofit leadership and as a practicing attorney, holding a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University.

Recruited into handball after successful NCAA careers in ice hockey and lacrosse, King brings a distinctive blend of athletic experience and professional expertise. His leadership is defined by a strategic focus on strengthening governance, building sustainable infrastructure, and elevating U.S. competitiveness on the world stage.
