Marissa Werner is director of Sports Milwaukee, Championed by VISIT Milwaukee. The organization’s mission is to make Milwaukee a top destination for youth, amateur, and professional sports. Prior to her current position, she worked for the Milwaukee Bucks, along with traveling the country in several roles for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, which included New York City and Los Angeles. With the assistance of Sports Milwaukee, the City of Milwaukee has hosted the NCAA Men's Basketball Championships, the Big East Volleyball Championships, PGA Championships, the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships, the USA Volleyball 18's Girls National Championships, the AVP Milwaukee Open, USA Ultimate College Championships, the USA Fencing North American Cup, USA Table Tennis Open Championships, the U.S. Open and the Ryder Cup.
