Combining her passion for sports and travel, Luchie Javelosa launched her career in the tourism industry 10 years ago at Visit Tucson. For the past four years, she has served as the senior sports sales manager for Tempe Tourism, focusing on bringing sports events and tournaments to Tempe and the state of Arizona. She describes herself as a community connector and is a strong advocate for sports diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. Javelosa is an active participant in the tourism industry, serving on numerous committees to include the Sports ETA Young Professionals and DEI Communities, the Destinations International Social Impact Committee, and the Compete Sports Network Women’s Sports Council. She is certified as a Sports Tourism Strategist (STS) through Sports ETA and a Sports Diversity Leader – Travel (SDLT) through Compete Sports Network.

In her spare time, she enjoys being active, spending time outdoors, and exploring the globe. Her favorite thing about travel is meeting people from all walks of life and being immersed in different cultures. “I believe the best way to learn and grow is to see and experience the world.”
