Jim Nantz, the three-time Emmy Award winner and five-time National Sportscaster of the Year, joined CBS in 1985. He currently serves as the lead play-by-play announcer for “The NFL on CBS,” including Super Bowl LV in 2021; the lead anchor of CBS' golf coverage, including the PGA Tour, Masters and the PGA Championship; and lead play-by-play announcer for college basketball, including the NCAA Men's Final Four. 

Nantz's ties to Houston remain strong as a proud Houston Cougar alum and in 2011, Jim returned to his adopted hometown of Houston to team with Houston Methodist Hospital to launch the Nantz National Alzheimer Center (NNAC). A world-renowned research and referral center, the NNAC provides personalized care for patients and their families, and conducts critical research in Alzheimer's disease and other memory disorders.

In addition, he along with wine industry veteran Peter Deutsch, produce an artisanal Sonoma fine wine brand named The Calling. Released in 2012, The Calling wines are handcrafted from Sonoma's finest varietals and have been awarded multiple scores of 90 and above. Nantz has also teamed up with vineyard vines to create an authentic golf lifestyle brand that is comfortable and sophisticated for the course, clubhouse and beyond. The Jim Nantz by vineyard vines collection debuted in February 2019 and is inspired by the Pebble Beach way of life, including opening a flagship store at the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links.
