George Foreman grew up in Houston and won an Olympic gold medal in 1968, becoming world champion by 1973 with a knockout of Joe Frazier. Foreman first retired in March 1977 and became a minister, starting the George Foreman Youth and Community Center. He returned to boxing in 1987 and was world champion in 1994 at the age of 45, the oldest heavyweight champion ever. He retired with a 76-5 record in 1997 and is a 2003 International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee. Foreman, also known as a successful entrepreneur, still tends to his ministry at The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
