Dr. Jonathan Finnoff
Chief Medical Officer, U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee
Jonathan Finnoff joined the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee in March 2020 as its chief medical officer. Dr. Finnoff obtained his medical degree from the University of New England before completing a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Utah, and a sports medicine fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and sports medicine and is a professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Finnoff has published over 90 articles in peer reviewed journals, authored multiple book chapters, and co‐edited a book titled “Sports Medicine: Study Guide and Review for Boards.” He has also been a faculty member or course director for numerous national and international conferences. Dr. Finnoff was a team physician for the United States Ski Team for nearly two decades and has provided medical coverage for the team at the Winter Olympics, World Cups, and World Championship competitions. He was also a team physician for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx basketball teams.
