Denise Parker

SVP, Chief of NGB Services and Sport Operations, USOPC

Denise Parker was named chief of NGB services and sport operations for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee in January 2023 and prior to that was the VP of NGB services from her hire date of September 2017. 

Prior to joining the USOPC, she served as CEO of USA Archery and held the role of NGB Council vice chair. 

In her current role, Parker is responsible for overseeing the strategic development and implementation of business resources, programs and services to support internal and external partners in the U.S. Olympic Movement. She leads the Sport and Athlete Services division’s centralized business operations, providing cross-functional support in areas such as strategic alignment and project management, financial and budget management and technology and data functions. 

The NGB Services team, which she also oversees, works on improving organizational effectiveness within the USOPC’s NGBs through targeted programming and assistance. She serves as the USOPC’s liaison to the NGB Council and aids leaders in enhancing their governance and leadership capabilities. Additionally, she oversees the Internally Managed Sports department for those sports who are not currently operated by an external NGB. 

A three-time Olympian and bronze medalist in the sport of archery, Parker was the youngest member of the 1988 U.S. Olympic Team at the Seoul Games. At age 13, she was the youngest archer ever to win a gold medal at the Pan American Games, and at age 15, she placed third at the 1989 World Championship. She is also a past junior world champion.
