Courtney Godfrey
As a former member of the U.S. Para Snowboard team and co-host of NBC’s 2026 Paralympic coverage, Courtney Godfrey is an award-winning journalist, public speaker and amputee advocate.
Since losing her leg in a boating accident in 2017, Godfrey has pursued a life rooted in advocacy. In addition to being a resource for new amputees on social media, she makes regular hospital visits and serves on the boards of amputee non-profit Wiggle Your Toes and the Hennepin Healthcare Foundation. In 2023, she successfully lobbied the Minnesota legislature to outlaw a secretive practice by insurance carriers to exclude children and spouses from boat policies and was more recently part of a movement to expand health insurance coverage for all amputees.
As a veteran television reporter, she has appeared on CNN, Fox News and has spent the last eight years at the FOX affiliate in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On top of all that, she is a wife and mother of two young children and desperately in need of more sleep.
