Adam Wisniewski
Adam Wisniewski has served as the vice president of sports development with the Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau since September 2021. In his new role with the Oklahoma City CVB, Wisniewski primarily works with CVB staff and other partners to attract local and national sporting events to Oklahoma City and collaborates with event organizers to effectively increase attendance at all local sporting events. His involvement in Oklahoma City’s premier events include the NCAA Women’s College World Series, OKC Memorial Marathon, and various international rowing and paddlesport championships at Oklahoma City’s unique Riversport OKC complex. He also develops and maintains relationships with various stakeholders locally, regionally and nationally, to increase Oklahoma City’s brand and image within the sports market.
Wisniewski came to Oklahoma City from Arlington, Texas, where he helped begin the Arlington Sports Commission in 2017. Serving as the sports account director in Arlington for four years, he worked directly on events ranging from the UIL Texas High School Football Championships and RFDTV’s The American Rodeo, to the PGA’s Korn Ferry Tour and the “Oscars of Esports” – The Esports Awards. He previously worked for the Tampa Bay Sports Commission in corporate partnerships, with the primary focus on the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. He has also worked with Oklahoma State University Football, University of South Florida Athletics, and the Tulsa Drillers Professional Baseball Club.
Wisniewski completed his undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University where he graduated with separate degrees in sports management and economics. He also graduated from the University of South Florida’s Sport and Entertainment Management Program with dual master’s degrees in sports, and sport and entertainment management.
